201 Stainless Steel Plate
201 stainless steel plate is a cost-effective austenitic stainless steel material featuring moderate corrosion resistance, higher hardness and strength, and acceptable formability under proper conditions. Its typical composition includes 16–18% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel, 5.5–7.5% manganese, and a small amount of nitrogen, which replaces part of the nickel to reduce cost. It is widely used in applications where severe corrosion environments are not involved, such as interior architectural trim, kitchen appliance panels (avoiding prolonged contact with strong acids or alkalis), general industrial structures, automotive decorative parts, and electronic equipment housings. Its economical advantage and adequate mechanical performance make it a popular choice for light-duty manufacturing and construction projects.
